Environmental Remediation Systems Engineer – Nationwide
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for an environmental remediation systems engineer. The ideal candidate will join our Industrial, Commercial, & Energy Business Unit and assist in providing clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. As an environmental remediation systems engineer, you will work with teams across the country to design, install, operate, and optimize a variety of remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction, air sparging, groundwater extraction/treatment, oxidant injection, and enhanced bioremediation systems. Typical project sites include chlorinated solvent sites, former refineries, and emerging contaminant sites.
Your role will involve design, procurement, startup/shakedown, interfacing with remote telemetry systems (including programmable logic controllers), managing on-site operations and maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization. Additionally, this role supports marketing and business development efforts, including preparing technical proposals, while serving as a technical mentor to junior staff. The position also offers the opportunity to advance into a leadership position within the company.
The preferred candidate will be based out of any of our offices, but preference for California, Colorado, or Wyoming.
Required Qualifications
BS degree in engineering or related field (MS preferred)
5+ years of relevant environmental industry experience (PE license preferred)
Employment history as an environmental remediation engineer with system design, installation, and operation/maintenance experience
Mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong technical and problem-solving skills
Commitment to growing Trihydro’s business, supporting its culture, and nurturing long-standing client relationships
Reputable employment history with a commitment to safe work practices
Ability to work independently and contribute meaningfully to an established team of geologists, engineers, and scientists to meet client deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members in writing and verbally
Demonstrated “client-first” mentality and willingness to fulfill commitments on budget/schedule
Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
A clean driving record and the ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices
Fluency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and affiliated applications (preferred)
