We are looking for a PLC Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This individual is responsible for the design, build, and commission of industrial equipment, including robotic automation cells and industrial machine tools, custom design and build equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Program PLCs, HMIs, Servos, and related industrial controls equipment
- Integrate machine vision systems for inspecting and locating applications
- Complete initial PLC programs offline prior to assembly
- Debug robotic cell on assembly floor
- Participate in a team-oriented phase-gate process
- Travel to customer sites for system debug and startup
- Provide technical support and training for internal and external customers
- Maintain a high level of communication with weekly task list updates and reporting
- Complete assigned project work on time per the project schedule, within the project budget, and meet customer requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering and/or 5+ years’ experience in automation
- Minimum of 3 years’ PLC and industrial controls equipment programming experience in automation equipment
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Willingness to travel 15%
Experience in the Following Areas a Plus:
- FANUC robot programming experience
- Omron PLCs
- Script based and IEC 61131-3 language programming
- Robot Risk Assessment and Safety
- Electrical Design with AutoCad Electrical
- Professional training in associated subjects
