Overview:
Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Cloud Network Engineer located at the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) at Eglin AFB, FL. This position provides network engineering support to the 45 Test Squadron Air Operations Command and Control Test flight on Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS). ABMS is the Air Force’s next-generation command and control (C2) system. ABMS is being designed to connect sensors and shooters, and provide commanders with the right information, that is quick and decisive.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Secret - U.S. Citizenship
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience is required.
CERTIFICATIONS: DOD IA Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification within 6 months of employment in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M DOD 8570 directives and supplementing AF regulations; AFMAN 17-1303 based on position responsibilities.
One of the following: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (Professional is a plus); Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect; IBM Certified Cloud Solution Architect; or Red Hat Certified Cloud Architect.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
REQUIRED

Experience as a network engineering or network security professional with a focus on network architecture, implementation, and support, primarily in either Azure or AWS

Knowledge of and experience with cloud computing concepts, software defined networking, and application security architecture

Extensive expertise with general firewall configuration and support, including IPsec VPN configuration and troubleshooting
-
Strong experience in network traffic monitoring, analysis, packet capture, and troubleshooting
-
Experience with host and network-based security across multiple architectures and platforms
-
Prior experience installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
-
Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, BGP, 802.1x)
-
Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
-
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others

Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications
PREFERRED

Prior experience or knowledge of: Air Operations Center (AOC) or Control and Reporting Center (CRC)

Understanding of development test and evaluation processes, specifically the DOD Acquisition Lifecycle for program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including DODI 5000.89_DAFI 99-103

Use and integration of programming\scripting languages and applications

Knowledgeable with the system development lifecycle, architecture, configuration, and security methods

Knowledge of IT systems analyses and application software concepts, functions, techniques, and capabilities sufficient to evaluate emerging technologies in a development environment

Ability to interface with prime contractors developing the system under test (SUT) regarding test objectives, schedules, budgets, and methods of test
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Provide network administration and cybersecurity support as a technical advisor on Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS)
-
Apply knowledge and perform network engineering technology. Tasks include but are not limited to: design, plan, and prototype a Cloud network; Implement Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) instances; configure/maintain network services; implement hybrid interconnectivity; manage, monitor, and optimize network operations

Maintain a secure and auditable firewall configuration

Work closely with Infrastructure and Information Security teams on the network design improvements, development, and operation of secure services
-
Perform various support activities including test and evaluation, analyses, technical studies, cost/schedule examinations and program/system security comparisons

Conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of network engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff. These tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including program/system security

Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing

Assist in the development of system requirements, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, analysis of design constraints, functional capabilities, and metrics

Interact with System Program Offices, other military services, and development contractors
