We are currently seeking a Licensed, Senior Structural Engineer for a position in either our Rochester, NY or Temple, TX offices. This position offers the opportunity to further your career goals, utilize your leadership skills and engage with clients and colleagues on interesting and challenging projects.
The position will include structural design for both new structures and existing structures. Candidate will be expected to work as part of a design team or independently, and able to lead the development of a project through all project phases.
Position duties include:
· Perform structural calculations and design layout.
· Prepare technical reports and specifications
· Perform QA/QC constructability review of plans and specs
· Construction administration support
· Manage schedules, budgets, and profitability of assigned projects,
· Lead, mentor and manage junior staff and project teams
· Lead project presentations to clients
· Support business development and proposal preparation.
Candidate must have experience working on architecturally-led building projects of low to mid-rise construction during design and construction and a familiarity in designing structural steel, light-gage metal, masonry, and concrete (pre-cast and cast-in-place).
Minimum qualifications include:
· P.E. license
· 10 plus years of Structural Engineering
· Experience in educational (K-12 and higher education), medical, retail, municipal and/or hospitality structures. Experience in the design of water resource structures is a plus
· Revit proficiency and experience in designing structures using three-dimensional, structural analysis software is a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
