Reilly Tarantino Engineering, a structural engineering design and consulting firm in Massapequa, NY seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This position provides the right candidate the opportunity to develop their structural engineering skills and work in a client-facing role as well as work with a team of professionals on a variety of projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Structural design of buildings, including school additions, multi-family housing structures, self-storage structures and warehouse structures.
- Possess the ability to interpret architectural drawings and develop structural framing systems.
- Coordinate clients’ needs and design intent with structural framing systems.
- Coordinate structural framing system with other engineering discipline drawings.
- Ensure project deliverables are provided on time and under budget.
- Develop analysis models and calculations based upon proposed design intent, field notes and research findings.
- Supervise, work with, and train junior engineering staff. This includes review of drawings, engineering models, calculations, and reports.
- Inspect and analyze existing structures.
- Develop office standards for various framing systems and engineering processes.
Education and Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering is required.
- MS in Civil Engineering is a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience is required.
- EIT Certification is required.
- Knowledge of ETABS, SAFE, RAM Steel is a requirement for hiring.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is a requirement for hiring.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Motivated and driven self-starter!
Compensation
Salary: $90,000-105,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
