We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and maintain bridges. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, structural engineering, and bridge design. This position requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex data, develop plans for bridge construction, and manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop bridges to meet specific requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop plans for bridge construction.
- Develop bridge designs that meet safety standards and regulations.
- Analyze bridge performance and suggest modifications.
- Inspect bridges to ensure they are safe and structurally sound.
- Provide technical advice on bridge construction projects.
- Monitor the progress of bridge construction projects.
- Conduct inspections of various types of bridges and other structures
- Document findings and report on the condition of the bridges
- Identify any safety hazards that need to be addressed
- Recommend solutions to fix any issues found
- Prepare reports and maintain records of inspections and findings
The Engineer is responsible for ensuring that bridges and other structures are safe and in compliance with state and federal regulations. This involves inspecting bridges and identifying any issues that need to be addressed, such as cracks, corrosion, or other damage. The Bridge Engineer will then recommend solutions to fix the problems found, which may include repairs, replacements, or improvements to the bridge's design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Experience in bridge inspection
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to bridge safety
- Able to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to climb and work at heights
- PE Licenensing Preferred .
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
