We are currently searching for a PROCESS ENGINEER or MATERIALS SCIENTIST to take ownership of process engineering and related projects for our germanium, InSb, and refining manufacturing operations. This position is a salaried position eligible for the bonus program. A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

POSITION SUMMARY
Over the next few years, our company will be making investments in our Germanium and InSb business including refining. We will have to execute a series of improvement projects including both campaigns of process optimization and replacing and upgrading some equipment. This sustained focus on the manufacturing and refining processes will require deep technical thought, leadership and hard work.
We are looking for an ambitious individual to help us turn our semiconductor wafer business into the clear industry leader in both product performance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities include:
· Maintaining and refining manufacturing processes and process flows.
· Data-driven decision making
· Taking ownership for process quality and performance. Work closely with engineers, managers, and technicians.
· Creative problem solving and troubleshooting to address internal and customer issues as they arise.
· Proactive process engineering: Identifying and developing process improvements to address top pareto items and prevent future problems (PFMEA, SPC)
· Providing engineering support to operators, monitoring OEE and process health
· Championing continuous improvement projects employing Lean/six sigma principles including: 5S, Poka Yoke, Statistical Process Control (SPC), SOP writing and revision, etc.
· Ensuring Quality control and quality assurance are maintained
Required:
-Education: BS or higher degree in science or engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, materials science, or similar) required.
Preferred Skills:
-Experience: 2+ years in manufacturing process engineering environment is preferred
-Semiconductor crystal and wafer physics and manufacturing knowledge
-Six Sigma
-Project management
-statistical data analysis (JMP or similar)
General Required Skills:
- Ability to work in a controlled environment (clean room)
- Thoroughness in both planning and documentation

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, it is often required to stand, use hands to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. May be required to wear a respirator at times.
