Role & Responsibilities
A Seaman Paper Corporate Field Service / Control’s Technician provides support to our Converting facilities, through their respective Site Managers, in cooperation with site Maintenance personnel to maintain and/or recover safe and efficient operations. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot, identify and correct any number of possible process and equipment issues that face our manufacturing organization.
The Field Service / Control’s Technician’s work will be compliant with applicable safety standards and regulatory codes.
JOB DUTIES
· Maintain existing equipment and process control systems
· Support implementation of new machinery
· Ability to troubleshoot control circuits and their associated field devices on various types of Machinery, identify faults and restore operations
· Contribute to interdisciplinary teams on design and implementation of new processes/equipment
· Monitor existing process reliability and capabilities on new and legacy processes
· Work with site maintenance personnel to specify and ensure proper spare parts are maintained at the respective plant level.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven expertise as a Field Service / Control’s Technician including use of diagnostic tools
· Proven expertise in the debugging of various types of PLC, Drives, Servos, and HMI’s
· Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical prints for all types of machinery.
· Proficiency in problem-solving
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Organized with attention to detail
· Ability to respond, as needed, in support of operational needs
· Maintain a professional demeanor, as a representative of Seaman Paper, at all times
REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
· 2-year Electrical Technician Certification or equivalent field experience
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Settings as a Control’s Technician
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,107.52 - $90,000.00 per year
