D&D Products, located in North Prairie, WI has an immediate opening for a full-time Mechanical Engineer for their Aquarius Systems Division and Dynatek Articulated Loading Systems Division. We are looking for a passionate and motivated engineer to become part of our winning team who is eager to learn and grow in our fast paced environment.
Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
- Draft and finalize product designs based on customer specifications or bid documentations.
- Develop design concepts as part of new product development.
- Create detailed drawings with emphasis on large welded assemblies, conveyor systems and hydraulics.
- Generate production orders and print routers for manufacturing.
- Generate Bill of Materials and raw material lists for sales orders.
- Perform hands-on testing as needed.
- Drive continuous improvements and cost reductions on all projects.
- Perform design calculations for deflection, strength of materials, buoyancy, center of mass, etc.
- Ensure projects are completed within the established quality, delivery, and budgetary parameters.
Education and Experience
B.S. degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 1-3 years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate with relevant Industrial Co-Op / Intern or similar experience may be considered. Familiarity with marine, agricultural, or construction equipment a plus but not required. Experience working with conveyor systems and hydraulic systems a plus. Skilled in 3D modeling – AUTOCAD Inventor or similar.
