Your Tasks:
As a member of Miltenyi Biotec’s Process Development team, you will have the exciting opportunity to support the development of new processes that will generate cellular therapeutic products. You will apply your previous experience to assist in the development of analytical methods. Your responsibilities may include the maintenance of cell cultures using aseptic techniques, ddPCR, qPCR, HPLC, ELISA, and other assay platforms. Furthermore, method development associates are responsible for assisting in the design and optimization of validated and new methods. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will document activities for reproducibility, clean and maintain laboratory equipment, and support team members as needed. Your superb organizational and documentation skills will be instrumental in the tracking and communication of data and will ensure efficient progress towards achieving team objectives. Overall, your attention to detail and ability to think critically will champion the continued development of Miltenyi Biotec’s new products and growing success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences with 1-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience in one or more applicable analytical methods, such as ddPCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, HPLC, and NTA particle analysis.
- Experience working in a scientific or GLP/GMP environment is preferred, specifically in the field of cell and gene therapy.
- Superb documentation and organizational skills, capable of providing summaries and generating development reports to support technical transfer to Manufacturing as well as process qualification.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products; experience with JMP software is a plus.
- Weekend and holiday work may occasionally be required to maintain cell cultures or set up assays.

Work Environment:

Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as biosafety cabinets, CO2 incubators, centrifuges, pumps, bioreactors, microscopes, and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as masks, glasses, and gloves. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
