Duties/Responsibilities:
- Investigate, discuss, and solve complex problems by interacting with manufacturing departments, consultants, customers, and suppliers.
- Build a layout and working capacity model that provides a visual of the process flow of the manufacturing floor.
- Collaborates with teams across various disciplines to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and build ergonomics for product lines.
- Manage projects utilizing engineering and process flow techniques.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
- Experience working with advanced analytics and machine learning concepts, tools, and languages.
- Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
- Utilizes technology (i.e., Tableau) to develop reportable operating metrics.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production flow.
- Analyze, understand, and recommend work center staffing requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of ergonomics and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to understand manufacturing process flows and production methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-aided design (AutoCAD).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
