JOB SUMMARY:
Develop new and maintain existing applications in mechanical design systems – SolidWorks – and interfacing with those systems using the C# programming language using Visual Studio tools. Create design environments that meet current demand, as well as are ready to expand as future demands change.
Responsibilities include:

Supporting identification of new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process

Developing engineering / manufacturing applications
-
Simulating and testing automation processes or equipment to ensure they function as desired

Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation solutions or processes
-
Performing training where necessary to ensure implementation ensures sustainability
-
Troubleshooting automated processes or equipment to resolve errors

Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or Information Systems, or similar degree or experience

2+ years of programming experience in developing automation solutions using SolidWorks
-
Some programming experience using C# in the .NET environment and Visual Studio tools
-
Solid understanding of computer programming and software development techniques
-
Ability to troubleshoot application problems and perform complex system tests
-
Creative thinking skills
-
Ability to communicate well with other members of the development team
-
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of programming experience using C# in the .NET environment and Visual Studio tools, including proficiency in Oracle and/or SQL Server database interfaces is a plus

Resides within reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri
