Vehicle Accident Reconstructionist, ACTAR certification Mechanical Engineer
As an Accident Reconstructionist with U.S. Forensic you will:
· Assist with vehicle accident reconstruction of various motor vehicle accidents, including inspecting, analyzing, and reconstructing vehicular accidents, and testifying to your opinions.
· Work from your home office about 50% of the time and conduct site visits about 50% of the time.
· Set your own schedule while working a 40-hour week which includes travel time to sites with only occasional overtime.
· Travel to site visits that are mostly local to you, with only occasional overnight travel.
· Not just sit at a desk all week but perform inspections that involve physical activity.
· Write professional, concise reports that require analytical abilities.
· Be part of an organization with a wide range of Forensic Engineering expertise and Metallurgy, Chemical Analysis, Materials Testing, Weld Testing, Roof Inspection, Electron Microscopy, Seismic Testing, Environmental Testing, Computed Tomography, Calibration and Non-Destructive Testing capabilities.
· Be part of a rapidly growing organization with around 150 Professional Engineers across many disciplines.

Requirements:
· ACTAR certification
· Mechanical Engineering Degree
· SAE certifications are a plus
· Ability to analyze various accidents to determine causation
· Ability to write professional, concise reports
· Ability to conduct investigations that will require standing, walking, climbing, entering confined spaces, working outside in various weather conditions at different times of the day or night.
