Our client: Employee-owned, they have provided professional services Alaska-wide for over five decades. Grown and built in Alaska, they are recognized as experts in solving the logistical and environmental challenges of design in the state.
They are seeking a team-oriented Sr Project Engineer to join their growing structural engineering group. In this role, the successful applicant will supervise project and staff engineers, technicians, and interns.
The successful applicant will also participate and represent the client in professional organizations and community activities.

Would you like to:
- Work on several projects simultaneously, collaborate with the team and clients to resolve technical challenges
- Supervise, analyze and detail structural designs using advanced 3D software
- Create accurate, high quality engineering drawings
- Review technical reports and recommendations prepared by team members, vet for incorporation into design
- Assist with written communication, preparation of graphics, figures and other materials for public, client and team meetings, workshops and charrettes
- Participate in client and team meetings
- Guide design development and track progress within established scope, budgets and schedules, alerting the project manager and team of any issues
- Conduct research and write technical portions of proposals to assist in bringing in new work
Ideally you have:
- BS in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
- Fifteen years minimum of civil design experience with an emphasis on airport, site civil and/or surface transportation design
- Experience in marine infrastructure highly desireable
- AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, RISA 3D proficiency
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Alaska Structural Civil PE required or ability to acquire by reciprocity within 6 months of hire
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills
