The Senior Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for supporting engineering, tool room, and the factory personnel with projects such as CAD design, product configuration and custom-quoting, workflow and time standards analysis, and new equipment/ processes research, justification, and implementation. This person also supports the machine shop with CNC programming, jig, fixture, and tooling design, as well as process engineering.

Job Responsibilities
- Uses CAD to design tooling and fixtures for machining, fabrication, assembly, rework, and work simplification.
- Performs Installation and Operational Qualifications of New and/or Relocated equipment including software and associated components.
- Creates and maintains factory shop floor layouts.
- Manages CAD/CAM and Product Lifecycle software systems in conjunction with the PE department.
- Prepares cost estimates for machining, fabrication, and assembly of parts and complete assemblies.
- Performs process workflow, takt time, and ergonomic analysis on machining and assembly processes.
- Documents changes to existing processes and equipment that improve performance and manufacturing costs.
- Writes CNC programs, sets-up tooling, and develops tool-test trials for cost and time savings improvements.
- Helps in problem troubleshooting in conjunction with Assembly, Machine Shop, or Maintenance.
- Performs cost reduction projects as required, especially related to process, tooling, and fixture improvement.
- Helps in troubleshooting pump performance issues related to design, manufacturing, or assembly.
- Oversees Manufacturing, Assembly, and Post-Assembly Process selection and implementation.
- Supports purchasing in sourcing of new raw material or new vendor development.
- Oversees tool selection and programming for CNC machining centers.
- Tool testing with various tool vendors.
- Took knowledge including tool coatings, materials, geometries, and processes.
- Programming including EIA (M and G code), advanced probing, and CAM.
- Counsels on machine tool selection and specification including full management of investments from concept to ROI to approval to launch.
- Creates, revises, and maintains standardized work instructions for machining, assembly, test, paint, and packaging.
- Uses APQP elements such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) on new processes.
- Work with Quality Assurance to create and administer Control Plans using SPC or Cp/CpK data as guidelines.
- Displays advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)
- Identifies and sponsors fixture improvement and/or implementations to improve quality, capacity, and support product launches or changes.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and TPM.
- Promotes safety awareness and provides safe work environment
- Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the General Manager, safety officer, or human resources.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with direct project management in a metal cutting factory: Required
- Experience with machining of metal parts including drawing (blueprint) reading: Required
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Required
- Field of Study: Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology: Required
- Microsoft Office – Advanced: Required
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC Programming: Required
- Experience with Makino Pro5/Pro6 or Fanuc CNC controls: Required
- Experience with Siemens NX Cam: Preferred
- Experience with statists and statistical analysis calculations and software: Preferred
- German / French language skills: Preferred
- Valid Drivers’ License (must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards): Required

- Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check

- Ability and willingness to travel (up to 10%) domestically and internationally
Physical Requirements
- Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
- Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
