Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) Technology team in Personal Investing is seeking a hardworking engineer to join us in modernizing and building innovative and cloud-native experiences, capabilities and platforms in support of this mission.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will be applying your software development and automation skills to develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve rep facing application. This person will be a hands-on engineer with well-honed design and development skills. This individual will be accountable for all the deliveries of the engineering team.
- Full-stack development experience using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node JS and JavaScript
- Experience integrating with architecture (REST) using Express, Node, Springboot, and Drop wizard.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience with crafting and building large-scale applications
- Solid understanding of application development with micro architectures.
- Sound knowledge of AWS stack components such as VPC, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue, Amazon Elastic Load Balancing, SQS, SNS, and other components of AWS infrastructure for deployment of application using Docker containers and handling their interactions
- Solid understanding on migrating applications from any on-prem servers to cloud infrastructure such as AWS to deploy applications on ECS and EKS are preferred
- Ability to Modernize conventional ETL Job to event driven framework or streaming framework.
- Ability to migrate legacy applications to the cloud using an incremental approach
- Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI and CD pipelines, including unit, component, functional, performance, and security test automation
- Knowledge of mock frameworks and service virtualization
- Ability to provide automation solutions to support all possible data scenarios
- Certifications in, and working experience with, AWS
- Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software – sprint to sprint, release to release
- Excellence in software development practices and procedures
- Participates in application level architecture
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
- Responsible for QA readiness of software work (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
- Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives
- Works on sophisticated assignments and often multiple phases of a project
