OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical schematics using AutoCAD, designing control systems, interfacing with PLCs, and maintaining a library of electrical design documents and CAD files. You will work collaboratively with other members of the project team to provide technical support to shop floor and field service personnel.
PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Engineer and develop electrical schematics using Auto CAD workstation.
· Power cabinet layout and component specification.
· Design of control systems.
· Interface with PLCs.
· Maintain a library of electrical design documents/CAD files.
· Revise drawings.
· As part of a Project Team, provide technical support to shop floor and field service. personnel as required.
· Generate Bills of Material from electrical drawings.
· Produce customer documentation and validation protocols, as required.
· Consistently observe and promote SHEQ site requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
· Four-year Electrical Engineering degree and 3-5 years relevant experience.
· Proficiency in using Auto CAD and other design packages.
· Must have experience in producing Bills of Material and electrical schematics.
· Knowledge of NEC, IEC, and NEN1010 codes.
· Must be able to work from a Process and Instrumentation Diagram.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
· Overtime as needed.
· Travel as needed, national and international.
· Prolonged VDT usage

Pay: $68,375.88 - $99,162.59 per year
