Senior Drainage Engineer
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of advanced roadway design principles and show a desire to improve upon his/her talent while working under an experienced roadway group leader on a wide variety of projects for DOT, counties, municipalities, and other transportation agencies.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Maintain responsible charge over multiple roadway projects
- Lead marketing efforts for the roadway discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
- Direct roadway group resources to produce a quality product
- Provide peer reviews and quality control reviews when necessary
- Ability to lead internal training programs
- Assist in the strategy planning and growth of the PGA roadway group
- Requires no technical supervision
- Ability to direct and mentor younger staff
- Complete tasks and projects within scheduled timeframes and budget
Education and Experience (Required):
- Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Engineering
- 10 - 20 years of progressively complex engineering experience
- Registered Florida Professional Engineer (PE)
- FDOT and/or Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise/Toll Agency Experience (Desired)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrates leadership qualities in all aspects
