Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Permanent Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining transportation systems that meet the needs of our clients. This is a full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:

Design and develop transportation systems, including roadways, highways, and bridges, that meet the needs of clients and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in transportation systems.

Develop plans and specifications for transportation projects, including cost estimates, schedules, and construction plans.
-
Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals to ensure that transportation projects are completed on time and within budget.

Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
-
Monitor construction projects to ensure that they comply with plans and specifications.
-
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that transportation systems are functioning properly and identify areas for improvement.
-
Keep up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in transportation engineering and apply them to projects as appropriate.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
-
0-4+ years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadways and highways.
-
Experience with TxDOT regulations and procedures.
-
E.I.T. or P.E. certification preferred.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.
-
Familiarity with traffic analysis software such as Synchro and HCS.

Knowledge of construction practices and materials.
