Power Electronic Engineer
Interpower Induction USA – Almont, MI
Interpower Induction is a machine builder specializing in the design and manufacture of Induction Heating machines used in almost every segment of industry. The machines utilize solid state IGBT, and SCR based power converters (also called supplies, inverters, drives) ranging in power from 5 to 10,000 kilowatts. The power supply designs have output frequencies from 60 Hertz to 400 Kilohertz.
We are adding a Power Electronic Engineer this qualified individual should be knowledgeable with electrical and electronics, as well as possessing a good mechanical aptitude and good communication skills. This individual will be working out of our Almont Michigan facility.

General responsibilities include:
· Test complete machines including electronics, power systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, water-cooling systems, mechanical, and PLC and PC controls.
· Test and troubleshoot Interpower designed electronics boards down to a component level.
· Travel to customer’s facility to commission new equipment and repair of existing equipment. Majority of travel is within the US, and most calls are kept within the space of a week.

Required education: College / University degree, 2-Year Mechatronics, Technical school, Military schools or equivalent. Prefer Electrical, Controls, Power, Electronics, and Mechanical engineering related degrees.
Preferred experience but not required: Induction Heating Industry Experience, electrical motor drive experience.
