This position will primarily be focused on lamination composites and lamination manufacturing areas by leading, planning, directing, and coordinating process/product improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency. Ensure boats meet lamination requirements and specifications. Composite laboratory testing to ensure quality of materials used in lamination.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain lamination schedules for new and existing product.

Maintain inventory of all MBG molds.

Work with vendors and mold maintenance to ensure molds are built and maintained to standards.

Laboratory, lamination composites test to ensure materials meet specifications.
- Uses experience and knowledge to identify customer problems and offer solutions.

Source parts as required, manage vendors issues as needed.

Lamination conformity audits to ensure product meets engineering requirements based on Engineering Standards (Engineering Documentation)

Analyzes and makes recommendations of lamination material if needed
- Support new product integrations by coordinating prototypes running in production, ensure parts meets lamination specification/requirements. Redline prints if a change is required and keep prints up to date
- Create and provide Engineering Standards (Engineering Documentation)

Lamination BOM accuracy, execute product audits of material usage

Act as liaison between Production, Engineering and Naval architects to provide problem resolutions as needed

Review existing product design, identify weaknesses, propose, implement, and monitor effectiveness of improvements

Drafting product design ideas or concepts to reduce cost or improve efficiency (VA/VE)

Assist with or lead any projects assigned.
- Support MBG departments at all levels

Education and/or Experience:
- Engineering college degree or marine associate composites degree

Experience in CAD; Experience in 3D solid modeling in Rhino or Solid works preferred; Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite; Knowledgeable in ABYC, ISO, CE, CCT standards, boating experience preferred.
