Your Tasks:
As a member of the Miltenyi Biotec Service Operation Team, you will be responsible for a wide scope of service focused technical responsibilities associated with our instrument portfolio. You will be part of a team that will develop service strategy, methods, and procedures, write service documentation, and develop training programs for the service team. You will use your in-depth knowledge and expert technical skills to visit customer sites to install, maintain and upgrade instruments and implement the training program for service staff members. You will serve as the primary contact for US based service team and the main conduit for communication between the US and Germany for the transfer of technical information. You will enable the continued optimum instrument performance and success of our company as a whole.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a technical or mechanical discipline, or equivalent Military Technical Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of six years’ service experience, servicing complex instrumentation that employ optics, detectors, lasers, embedded PCs and advanced electronic sub systems.
- Experience providing technical training and support to employees or customers in service operations.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working with potentially bio-hazardous materials.
- Travel 70% Domestic & International
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance/insurability, and the ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have ability to handle more than one task at a time and must work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a variety of facilities. This person will have an office environment for about half of the work performance, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.
