The Process Engineer is responsible for performing activities related to the implementation, maintenance, programming and improvement of the manufacturing processes required to support new and existing products.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Definition and documentation of the facilities, equipment, and tooling requirements for all new and existing products
- Design and development of new methods and processes to improve productivity by improving integration of people, materials, and equipment
- Programming of sophisticated production equipment
- Development and design of testing activities for the evaluation of tools, machinery, and equipment
- Conduct ongoing analyses of products and processes to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and improve efficiency
- Supports the manufacturing launch of new and enhanced products by completing assigned tasks on time, in scope and in budget
- Serve as primary technical resource for assigned manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling
- Research solutions to technical problems and recommend cost effective resolution approaches
- Lead engineering projects by completing multiple tasks and overseeing budget, scope and schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced mathematical skills, including the use of logarithms and quadratic equations
- Advanced computer skills, including the use of CAD software
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes, including flow, layout, and assembly and production equipment
- Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools
- Proven knowledge of electronic circuit board design electronic manufacturing processes
- Basic management skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, and project management
- Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents
- Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years related experience
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
