Description: This position is responsible for providing support for all engineering department activities in accordance with the business objectives stated in the annual business plan. Direct responsibilities include maintaining and improving current and new product designs, providing engineering support and drawings for production, and managing and improving our electrical certification program.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in developing clear and accurate customer specifications and work orders
- Assesses engineering requirements and translates them into technical blueprints, drawings, and production layouts.
- Collaborates/interfaces with engineering, sales, purchasing, and production floor personnel in continuous improvement of product designs and overall finished product quality.
- Provides support in customer meetings, conference calls and site visits as required.
- Works with sub-contractors to comply with specifications while controlling/reducing their cost
- Support third-party inspections for product shipment and manages the electrical certification program
- Support the implantation of Servant leadership principles by actively participating and leading by example.
- Assist Project Engineers and Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineers with R&D and CI initiatives
- Ability to handle Projects/trailers if the need arises.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience required
- Strong technical proficiency and creative skills
- Able to meet strict challenging deadlines while producing a quality product
- Experience in AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks (preferred)
- Technical knowledge of working with 480V designs
- Collaborative approach and the ability to support all functional areas required
- Self-motivated and interested in personal & professional growth and continuous learning.
- Knowledge of FGI Guidelines & NEC Codes a plus
- Certified or Willing to be certified in NEC code guidelines is a plus
