This position is based in our Menomonee Falls, WI Manufacturing location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Manufacturing Engineer III primary role is to develop and improve processes within the factory. The areas of focus may include assembly, paint, or facility projects. This position maintains production capability, improves quality, reduces cost, improves safety, and maximizes throughput.

Design and Process Improvement:

Develops new and improves existing production areas.

Participates in core teams, designs new processes, researches best practices, involves shop personnel, performs cost analysis/justification, draws layouts, and obtains approvals.

Implements process changes which include: Engineering Change Notices, Tooling Requirements, Routing Creation, Deviations, Tool Work Orders, Kanban Implementation, Time Studies, and Training Operators.
Maintenance and Documentation:

Processes tool replacements.

Maintains routing.
-
Calibrates equipment.
-
Performs safety reviews.
-
Trains machine operators.
-
Performs time study audits.
ISO Functions:
-
Performs OMS updates.
-
Process audit requests.
-
Implements corrective actions.
Problem Analysis:

Resolves manufacturing and safety issues.

Contacts specialists as needed to resolve issues.
-
Documents the processes outside of the normal operation.
Production Maximization:

Implements the most efficient use of current tooling and personnel to maximize production without reducing quality.
Self-Development:

Maintains engineering and industry knowledge through ongoing training.
Special Projects:

Assists in special projects related to inventory, facilities, and logistics.
Safety

Performs all job functions in a safe manner and maintains safety awareness.

Reports known accidents, injuries, and unsafe practices, and/or conditions to supervisor.
Qualifications: Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline is required.

A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience is required. Seven (7) years is preferred.

Understanding of production processes and concepts.

Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient computer skills including CAD, Word, Excel, and Access.
