T&M is seeking an individual with a Civil Engineering background to fill a Staff Designer 2 position available in our Middletown office.
This candidate will gain experience in Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, floodplain mapping, transportation drainage design, dam inspection and analysis, and NJDEP flood hazard area, stormwater management and dam permitting. These individuals will be part of a collaborative team and receive personalized mentoring and training.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.

2-5 years of related experience in hydraulic/hydrologic and stormwater management facilities design, analysis and permitting as it relates to bridges, roadways, and dams is preferred. Relevant internship experience can be substituted for experience.

Engineer in Training certification is preferred with the goal to obtain a Professional Engineer’s License.

Knowledge of NJAC 7:8, 7:13 and 7:20, familiarity with NJAC 7:7, 7:7A, and 7:50

Computer knowledge: HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PondPack, AutoCAD, GIS, ARC Map and Microsoft Office.

Working knowledge of 1D steady-state HEC-RAS modeling, including bridge and culvert analysis, floodway modeling, and mapping. 2D modeling experience is a plus but not required.
