Job Summary: The Controls & Automation Specialist will support upcoming turnarounds and projects. The preferred candidate will be well versed in the Honeywell environment. This position will support 2023 Honeywell Experion DCS system manage in a Honeywell environment PLC, Allen Bradley, GE, Configuring, function testing, loop tests.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university is preferred, or equivalent work experience with demonstrated results.
Registration: Current TWIC is required.
Experience: This position requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in process automation and controls. Experience in instrumentation, either technology selection or maintenance/troubleshooting, is a plus. Previous experience in project support role is strongly preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing or technical support role is a plus. Experience with DCS systems such as Emerson DeltaV and Yokogawa Centum environments is beneficial. Additional PLC and DCS troubleshooting, configuration, programming, and hardware support are beneficial.
Beneficial Additional Experience:
- Ability to understand and implement the current version of IEC 61131 programming languages and standards, ISA S88 programming standard, ISA S84 programming standards, and OSHA 1910.119
- Ability to create accurate controls hardware installation documents from the information found on vendor equipment drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret PFD’s, P&ID’s, and instrument loop sheets.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, media (twisted pair, coaxial, fiber optic, wireless, etc.), and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot I/O problems in the field using a multimeter.
- Ability to troubleshoot software problems in the field.
- Ability to troubleshoot networking problems in the field using common isolation techniques.
- Knowledge and application of at least one of the following in support of control system installation: Microsoft Windows Server, UNIX, Linux, VMS
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
- Ability to develop control system installation specifications with engineering review and approval.
- Ability to determine construction material quantities.
- Developing design criteria and scope of work.
- Forecasting hours to complete professional services.
- Excellent virtual team skills and cross-divisional relationships.
- Experience with creating, using, and deploying Virtual Machines.
- Experience with Network Security.
- Knowledge of Modbus protocols (Serial and TCP).
- Knowledge of Ethernet and LAN/WAN systems such as Cisco switches and routers.
- Basic understanding of CAD software, either AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Familiarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Knowledge and application of the current version of the NFPA 497 and 499 and NEC 500 and 505 guidelines for hazardous area classifications.
- Working knowledge of the current version of NFPA 70E, 85, and 86.
- Knowledge and application of NEC, IEC & CENELEC hazard rated equipment.
- Knowledge and application of the current version of NEMA 250 enclosure standards and IEC 60529 Ingress Protection rating standards.
- Requires 5+ years of experience
