Snyder Associated Companies, Inc., headquartered in Kittanning PA, is currently searching for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.

· Perform all aspects of civil design including site layout, planning, grading, drainage, and site utilities

· Evaluate environmental impact and risks connected to projects.

· Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.

· Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.

Familiar with permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations.
Present findings to the public and/or company officials on topics such as bid proposals and ongoing projects

Requirements / Education / Experience

· BS in Civil Engineering or directly related field preferred

· Pennsylvania Professional Engineering License preferred – will accept EIT registration

· Experience in mining industry preferred

· Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal; with other professionals on staff, with consultants and government

· Adaptable to changing priorities and work sites

· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Knowledgeable of MSHA and/or OSHA safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license, ability to travel to site locations as necessary.
Candidate should display a positive attitude, self-discipline, teamwork, attention to detail and strong organizational and problem solving skills
Familiar with Autocad and/or GIS a plus
Employment requires candidate be in company office and/or at work sites

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
