The Senior Engineer, Electrical Engineering, is responsible for providing technical support for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) for Electronic Engine Controls and all associated test equipment. The Senior Engineer interacts and fosters teamwork with all levels of the organization and external customers.
The Windsor Locks maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility supports several Raytheon Technologies product families, which include air management systems (AMS), engine systems (ES) and propulsion system products.
The Senior Engineer, Electrical Engineering is Onsite, First Shift, with limited travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review and ensure compliance with approved technical repair data: manuals, service bulletins, customer documents, technical drawings of electrical systems and components.
Provide technical analysis to ensure customer product compliance with all appropriate regulatory, customer and OEM requirements.
Develop engineering work instructions and test documentation for the shop floor.
Drive continuous improvement within the MRO facility - individually or as part of a team including operations, Finance, Quality, Technicians, materials procurement personnel and Engineering groups.
Troubleshoot customer flight hardware and associated automated test equipment.
Possess high level knowledge of automated test equipment.
Communicate technical information to non-technical groups with varying degrees of product knowledge (customer, shop floor, management, etc.).
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing engineering work instructions and test documentation.
Experience using cost savings strategies and tactics.
Possible test equipment software development or experience.
