Responsibilities:

Ability to lead and self-manage the implementation of new equipment/technology into current manufacturing processes. This includes the introduction of new manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or distribution locations to the existing supply chain.

Establish milestones and self-monitor adherence to master plans, budgets, schedules.

Lead the charge of applying engineering concepts for the optimization of equipment, procedures, and departmental budgets to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment.

Develop solutions to a variety of complex and unique problems that require independent judgement and ingenuity to modify procedure standards related to plant layout, design, and construction.

Act as the primary contact for local facilities project activities and lead project reviews of cost, schedule, and technical performance. May coordinate with shop floor employees assigned to assist with the project.

Assist with first pass troubleshooting, minor repairs, and establishing preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all industrial machinery and equipment operates smoothly.

Identify problems and develop solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope. May coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project.

Maintain quality from conceptualization to implementation and assist with inspection of any outside services.

Coordinate with the facility manager and teams to maintain quality of all work process systems and assist in documentation of standard work and training.

Ensure our FEM program is properly implemented and maintained across the facility.

Assist Engineering Manager to prepare project status reports on regular basis.

Help analyze root causes for all fabrication issues and resolve.

Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and policies.

Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.

Responsible for attending and assisting with all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes):

BS Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other solid modeling software preferred
- Familiar with all types of machinery, mechanical equipment, construction material, types of construction methods, and construction equipment.
- General knowledge of steel fabrication processes (welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.)

Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry is preferred.

Familiarity with automation and robotic programming would be beneficial.

Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
- Effective written and oral communication, as well as creating electronic media presentations; make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite are required.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.

Ability to work alternative schedules to support project requirements (i.e., weekends here and there, off-shifts, etc.)

Competent to work independently, self-motivated, with minimal supervision. Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability required.

Willingness to accept assignments of all types which may include intermittent travel up to 20%.
