We are currently looking for a Biomedical Field Service Engineer to work remotely out of the Reno, Nevada area with travel to the NY Home office as needed..

Position Summary:
The FSE is expected to train out of the Corporate Office, Cortlandt Manor-NY, and periodically work up to a week a month out of the Corporate Office with the engineering and technical service teams. Responsibilities include undertaking customer support tasks, completing on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, validation, and QC performing. Provide customers with phone support for all Polymedco instrumentations. Occasionally visit customers in traveled areas to identify new opportunities, build a better relationship, trust, care, and provide high bandwidth communication.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsibilities include installing, training, technical phone support, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on all company’s diagnostic instrumentations.
Responsible for delivering adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
Collaborate and share information with colleagues, including sales members
to ensure top-notch customer support.
Must be initiative-taking with excellent communication skills, a collaborator, and the ability to operate with minimum supervision.

Work on new test systems and make recommendations regarding technical procedures. Perform evaluation of new equipment. Assist in developing and writing test procedures, standard operations protocol, and develop training material.
Skills/Qualifications:
Strong knowledge in instrument systems technology to include mechanical, electrical, chemistry and software technologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and sales skills.
Great critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The ability to think and act in a logical and methodical way.
Ø Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to utilize computer-based tools for reports, e-mail and for general communication.
Have the ability to solve complex mechanical / system problems utilizing technical manuals, publications, and engineering support.
Good teamwork, time management, and people skills.
Education: Qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in EE, Medical Technology or Biomedical Engineering. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of servicing diagnostic instruments and laboratory equipment .
Travel: Available to travel up to 50% of the time worked.
